Cosy Cosy Cocoa

Cosy, cosy cocoa,
Comfort in a mug,
There for you always,
When you need a hug.

Cosy, cosy cocoa,
A taste so divine,
Marshmallows and whipped cream,
For yours and mine.

Cosy cosy coco-cola…oh damn it. Wrong drink.

Okay okay okay. Let’s get down to business …to defeat the huns! If you watch Disney, you’ll get that. Anyway, it is now the 2nd of December… what? The first day has already been and gone and now it is Saturday the 2nd? At least it is a Saturday. I hope you are having a nice festive weekend so far. But if you’re not, I have the BEST thing for you. HOT CHOCOLATE. I don’t know about you, but I have hot chocolates on the nightly in Autumn Winter. They are just my most favourite festive drink. However, I always think about ways I can spice them up. So today, I’m going to show you 3 recipes for the best hot chocolates you can share with your whole family and your friends… or even just yourself and your like me who likes to indulge in sugary goodness.

1. Terry’s Chocolate Orange Hot Chocolate

Yes…You read correctly. It is never Christmas until someone pops out a Terrys Chocolate Orange right?! Well why not have it in a hot chocolate?! It makes perfect sense! This recipe I’m going to show is very easy and very quick…

What you will need:

  • Milk
  • Hot cocoa powder of choice
  • Orange food flavouring
  • Marshmallows
  • Whipped cream
  • Tiny bites of Terrys Chocolate Orange

Start by heating the milk. I do this in the microwave for roughly 2 minutes. Add the hot chocolate powder to your taste and stir. Then, add two drops of the orange flavouring. This can be altered to your taste. Stir well. Place the marshmallows and whipped cream on top, then place a few of the tiny bites of Terrys Chocolate Orange. I swear to you, it tastes amazing.

Ps the mug is from Primark.

2. Peppermint White Hot Chocolate

I always love white chocolate, so you can imagine just how much I love it as a hot chocolate. It is a sweet love of mine. Adding peppermint just makes it taste a bit more festive. I don’t know why, but I feel like an elf when I drink this. I have no shame.

What you need:

  • Milk
  • White Hot Chocolate Powder
  • Peppermint food flavouring
  • Candy Canes
  • Marshmallows
  • Whipped Cream
  • White Chocolate Chips

Basically the same as the first hot chocolate. Heat the milk and add in the white hot chocolate powder. Add 2 drops of the peppermint food flavouring and mix well. After, add your marshmallows and whipped cream and then place a cady cane on the side for decoration and extra flavour. Sprinkle some white chocolate chips on top to make it look extra yummy.

3. Cookies and Cream Hot Chocolate

I never expected this one to my favourite but for some reason it is. I think it’s the way the cookies melt into the hot chocolate. It is AMAZING.

What you will need:

  • Milk
  • Hot chocolate Powder
  • Marshmallows
  • Whipped cream
  • Oreos

Start by making a bog-standard hot chocolate. Heat the milk and add the chocolate powder.  Then add the marshmallows. After the marshallows, add a handful of crushed Oreos and lightly mix on the top of the hot chocolate. Add your whipped cream and place some more Oreos on top if you wish.

Thank you for reading and I hope these quick and help easy hot chocolates taste amazing to you. Let me know if you try one. Also, thank you for stopping by on my blogmas. I am attempting to do Blogmas from the 1st to the 25th of December.

Thank you and I will see you tomorrow.

23 days to go…
