My Skincare Journey (AD)

My Skincare Journey (AD)

Ooooh jeez, Jack Frost is at it again! Like most, my skin gets very very dry leading up into the cold weather. Don’t get me wrong, I live for crisp cold mornings and evening walks wrapped up in hats and scarves. But my skin suffers. Usually, I do have oily to combination skin that just can’t decide what it’s wanting to do! Dry in some places, oily in the other places and sometimes a bit of both in the exact same spot! Make your mind up already! Luckily enough, I was contacted by a company called YourGoodSkin who asked me to take part in the 28 day challenge.

As I am just starting my blogging journey, I honestly didn’t set my hopes up high for products. I had no idea what they were going to send me and I always knew that if I didn’t like their things, I would never mention them. Well, here I am, mentioning them, which means I DO LOVE THIER STUFF. And I’m not just saying that. I got sent 4 products to use and within the first day of using them, I noticed a difference.

I feel like I am just coming to terms that my skin will never be perfect. But then again, does anyone have perfect skin? My battle with my skin has gone on for years. I remember being in primary school and being the only one with acne. I was so embarrassed and I tried almost everything to help clear my skin. I had to come to terms that it would hopefully be something I would grow out of, and luckily most of my skin has cleared up. However, I do suffer from some breakouts.

Speaking of breakouts, I had a big one around my chin area when I received the products from YourGoodSkin and thank goodness they worked. Here is a little review of the products they sent me.

This is the Balancing Skin Concentrate it ‘restores and maintains skins natural balance’ which I, personally, think it does. Out of the kit they sent me, I’d say this was my favourite. It goes on like a moisturiser but doesn’t leave your skin feeling very sticky like some moisturisers do. Personally, I think it’s this cream that has allowed my redness to calm down, which is always a blessing.

I use this product when I feel like my skin needs an extra boost of moisture but once again, it doesn’t leave my skin feeling sticky. It also creates a nice base for your foundation to go own. The one thing that excites me most about this product is that YOU CAN PUT IT ON TOP OF YOUR MAKE UP. I mean, how crazy is that? Because I have oily to combination skin, sometimes I get dry flakey looking skin if my foundation isn’t sitting right. I know, disgusting. But I put this on top by lightly dabbing it on the areas and it helps to soothe the area.

One thing I love about these face wipes is how soft they are. Like seriously, I was quite surprised. I wouldn’t say they were the best face wipes I’ve used but they are definitely the softest and they feel extremely gentle. I would recommend these wipes if you had sensitive skin.

Another thing I loved is this toner. Now I love my toners so I knew this would have to be impressive to impact me. I have to say, I am impressed. Once again, the solution of this toner when it goes on a cotton pad makes it feel very very soft going on to the skin. It feels like it cleans your skin as well as soothing it too. I will definitely be picking up another one of these when I run out. That’s another thing, this toner looks like I have barely touched it and I have been using it every day. A little goes a long way with all of YourGoodSkin products.

I hope you enjoyed this little review of YourGoodSkin. Maybe you should give thier products a try and join the 28daychallenge? Let me know how you get on.

Thank you and I will see you again soon.
