Top 5 Cosy Comforts

Top 5 Cosy Comforts

As a storm passes through parts of the UK just now, all I can think about how lucky I am that I can make myself all cosy and not have to face the harsh weather like some people have to. Even though I’m not getting the worst side of the storm, it is still gloomy outside. Not going to lie, this kind of excites me a bit. I love cosy nights in. I feel like they just make you feel content. I thought I would share my top 5 things that make me feel cosy, most I think you will share too.

I am a mad sucker for hot chocolates. I want the whole do with them though. I’m talking marshmallows, whipped cream, sprinkles… even a bloomin flake man! I love how they make me feel super cosy and warm. Let us not forget that it is also just chocolate, which is a winner on its own.

If you don’t like comfort food, something is seriously wrong with you. I have many comfort foods that I love. Chocolate, pies, roasts… anything really! Recently I have been loving Festive Friends – yes, I am a Christmas fanatic- and chicken and leek pie. I just find it so cosy to make as well as to eat. Once again, who doesn’t like chocolate?

If you’d like to know how I made this chicken and leek pie! I have a blog post on it.

Also cakes are a must. I love to have cake but sadly I am shockingly bad at making them. However, I do just dream of this lemon and courgette cake I have at my go to cafe in Kelso.

If I was planning a night in to feel cosy, it would not be complete without the proper comfort outfit. I’m talking pj’s, dressing gowns and slippers for me. Some of my favourite pyjamas to wear are Christmas ones. I know, I know, I am obsessed. But they usually just have a softness to them that I love. Also the thought of Christmas always brings a hygge feeling to me.

I know this may sound very weird but I would never feel super cosy without the help of some rain drops on my window. I am talking about the full hygge feeling. Listening to drops of rain on windows is something many of us enjoy. We can’t lie to ourselves. Even though we may moan about the rain, sometimes, we enjoy it a lot.

Because I am a Christmas nut, I love to watch different vlogmas’. My favourite, like many others, are Zoella’s Vlogmas’. They make me feel incredibly Christmassy all year round and that is good for someone like me who is in love with crimbo.

So there we have it, my top 5 picks to feel extra cosy. I would seriously love any suggestions to make me feel even more cosy. If you know any good vlogmas’ out there, please leave a link! Don’t forget to follow the blog, as it is free!

Thank you for reading and I will see you soon.

The lemon and courgette cake looks AMAZING! I’m such a sucker for hot chocolate as soon as winter hits. (To be fair, I love a hot chocolate all year round so I get a shot of peppermint syrup in it to make me feel more wintery haha!) xx
